Lieke Rijkx

Hi, I’m Lieke. I’m that little girl who, as soon as she learned the alphabet, buried her nose in books and wrote stories. My first diary dates from 1989. After that I started writing stories to read during group discussions at school. I was a bookworm. My biggest dream? Becoming Ronja the Robber’s Daughter, or Pippi Longstocking. I loved the outdoors as well. I played a lot in the Bunder woods, climbed trees and built huts. Now I am a copywriter and editor-in-chief. I have my own company called Lieke Schrijft. My love for the outdoors has remained. That’s why I volunteer for The Groene Poort Oost, as the newsletter’s editor-in-chief. I think it’s very important that there are green places where people can come together. Especially for children who don’t have the luxury of growing up close to a forest or other nature reserves.
