Patrick Geelen

My name is Patrick Geelen, I’m 37 years old and was born and raised in Wyck, Maastricht. I live on Akersteenweg, across from the Heer playground, with my girlfriend Nienke, our son Ian (2), daughter Zoë (1), and our dog Ranger (a cheerful 6.5-year-old Border Collie). You’ll often find me walking the dog in our beautiful park.

In my daily life, I work for Natuurmonumenten (Dutch Society for Nature Conservation), at the visitor center on the Sint-Pietersberg and as a project manager for the southern Netherlands. My background gives me extensive experience in the nature and recreation sector, both in project management and communications.

I’ve always been active in community organizations and find it important to contribute to my own neighborhood as well. That’s why I now volunteer for De Groene Poort Oost newsletter.
