Elzien Lochs, chairman

My name is Elzien Lochs and I have lived in Scharn since 2010, with Eric and our three sons.

Since the foundation was founded in 2020, I have been involved in the neighbourhood park as the foundation’s secretary.

We slowly saw the two football fields transform into a beautiful neighbourhood park: the squatted canteen has been demolished, the poplars along the road have been cut down, the ground on the east side has been raised and many trees and plants have been planted… There is now a beautiful park, which ‘only’ needs to grow and flourish in the coming years.

Every time I am there, I feel proud of what we have achieved with all those volunteers. I am always curious about how things are going and who I will meet.

We have now entered a different phase and from May 2025 onwards I have taken over the chairmanship from our first chairman Harry Schouten.
